P2N Planetary Gearbox Architecture and Selection

The P2N designation refers to a coaxial two-stage planetary arrangement in conventional industrial P-series catalogues. For a CHINFAR project inquiry, the actual product scope, rated performance, accessories and outline drawing must be confirmed for the selected configuration.

Configuration

Coaxial shaft layout. Straight-through power flow is the starting point. Confirm the full output interface and axial installation envelope.

Operating-point verification

Specify the required output speed and continuous torque. The actual gear ratio, input speed, allowable peak load and service duty must all be checked independently; nominal ratio or size alone is insufficient.

Thermal and lubrication conditions

Check the mechanical rating, thermal rating and lubrication arrangement as separate engineering limits. Mounting direction, ambient temperature, operating hours and available cooling airflow may affect the result.

Installation and output interface

Record the installed envelope, motor and coupling position, output connection type, shaft loads, base or flange attachment and maintenance access. Any interchangeability claim requires drawing-level verification.

Typical inquiry context

For conveyors or slow rotary equipment where a compact inline shaft arrangement is desired. Provide the existing nameplate and drawings when replacing an installed unit.

Frequently asked questions

Is the published nominal ratio sufficient for an exact specification?

No. Use the approved actual ratio and corresponding input speed.

Can the unit be installed in any orientation?

Mounting, oil supply and accessory requirements must be confirmed for the specific unit.

Is direct drop-in replacement guaranteed?

No. Verify all critical mechanical interfaces and operating limits.
