What gearbox is suitable for industrial mixers with high start-up loads?
For mixers with high start-up loads (high-viscosity media, dense slurries, paddle agitators), R or F series helical geared motors with a higher service factor (typically 1.5–2.0 above the calculated equivalent load) are recommended. Confirm the start frequency, peak torque, and the inertia of the agitator and impeller during selection. For very high start-up loads, an industrial agitator drive with reinforced bearings and a soft-starter or inverter is recommended.
