  • Motor matching available per application
  • OEM nameplate on confirmed scope
  • Non-standard configuration subject to technical review

Why this series

The CHINFAR K Series Helical-Bevel Gear Unit is intended for efficient right-angle drives with higher load requirements. The series is organized around standardized size, ratio, motor-interface and mounting combinations so that engineers can move from a machine requirement to a configuration rather than selecting by model name alone.

Engineering note: published ranges describe the cleaned reference envelope of the series. The final selectable power, ratio, torque, motor interface and mounting arrangement depend on the exact configuration.

Where the K Series fits

The K Series is typically considered when the machine requires a right-angle arrangement. Common application categories include bulk material handling, heavy conveyors, mixers and agitators, process machinery, and industrial right-angle drives. Final selection should always be based on duty, ratio, torque, mounting position, shaft/interface requirements and service factor.

Key design characteristics

  • Right-angle shaft arrangement
  • Helical-bevel transmission layout
  • Broad torque capability
  • Solid-shaft, hollow-shaft and flange variants

The K Series is generally not the first choice when the application prioritizes a simpler inline layout or very compact moderate-power worm-based right-angle drive. In those cases, compare the R, F, K and S architectures before fixing the gearbox family.

Available configuration families

  • K — Basic Helical-Bevel
  • KA — Hollow Shaft
  • KF — Output Flange
  • KAF — Hollow Shaft + Flange
  • KAZ/KAB/KH/KHF/KHZ/KHB/KAT/KHT — Extended Variants

Different variants can share a size designation while using different output interfaces. For replacement work, the complete configuration code and installation drawing are more important than the base size alone.

How to select a K Series gear unit

  1. Confirm motor or input power and actual input speed.
  2. Define the target output speed or required transmission ratio.
  3. Calculate the required output torque and apply the duty/service factor.
  4. Select the shaft arrangement and mounting configuration.
  5. Confirm the motor frame and input interface.
  6. Check radial/axial loads where the driven machine imposes external shaft loads.
  7. For replacement projects, verify mounting dimensions against the existing gearbox drawing before declaring direct replacement.

Data quality and engineering use

CHINFAR maintains structured performance and interface data for this series. Detailed selection rows combine power, motor pole count, ratio, output speed, output torque and service factor. Installation dimensions should be re-checked against the target machine or existing gearbox whenever a direct replacement claim is required.

Why Choose Our K Series?

When compared with traditional worm gearboxes, our K Series helical series delivers superior efficiency, longer service life, and better reliability.

K Series — FAQ

Is your series interchangeable with SEW, Bonfiglioli or Dodge?
In many cases yes — our modular helical/worm/bevel designs can match envelope dimensions and mounting foot patterns of major European and American brands. Please provide the competitor model number, nameplate photo and mounting drawing, and our engineering team will perform a fit-check and confirm.
What is the typical delivery time for standard and custom configurations?
Standard R/F/K/S modular geared motors usually ship within 7–15 working days after order confirmation. Custom configurations, special housings or non-standard shaft dimensions require additional lead time that we confirm during technical review. ZLYJ extruder gearboxes and HB/P industrial gearboxes require engineering sizing and confirmation.
Do you support OEM nameplates, colors, packaging and shaft modifications?
Yes. We support OEM production including custom nameplates, brand colors, shaft extensions, special packaging and document packages. All OEM modifications are subject to technical approval and a confirmed order scope — minimum order quantities apply for non-standard options.
What is the safe inspection sequence when a geared motor overheats?
First determine whether the heat is accompanied by abnormal noise, vibration, oil leakage, burning smell or unusual current. Then check load, start frequency, lubrication, alignment, ambient conditions and the motor electrical state. Stop the machine immediately if there is smoke, violent noise or rapidly uncontrolled heating, and isolate power before inspecting oil, couplings or belts. Send the nameplate, running video, current, load, ambient temperature and lubricant record to sales@chinfar.com for remote review.
What should be checked during the first run of a new gearbox installation?
Before first run, confirm mounting is rigid and aligned, oil level matches the specified grade, breather/vent is unobstructed, coupling or belt tension is correct, electrical supply matches the nameplate, and the direction of rotation is verified at no-load. Run unloaded for 30–60 minutes and check temperature rise, vibration and noise before applying full load.
What data should I provide when requesting a quote for an extruder gearbox?
Provide screw diameter, drive power, input speed, required output speed, output torque, axial thrust load, duty cycle, lubrication preference (oil-bath or forced), cooling method (natural or fan-cooled) and the mounting interface drawing. Photos of the existing gearbox nameplate and the drive-end layout help confirm matching.
What is the warranty period and what does it cover?
Standard warranty is 12 months from the date of shipment or per the contract terms. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and material failures under normal operating conditions. It does not cover wear parts, damage from overload, improper installation, lack of maintenance, or operation outside the agreed specification. Warranty claims require the nameplate, operating records and a description of the issue.
What replacement data should I send when retrofitting an existing gearbox?
Send the nameplate (or a clear photo), existing mounting dimensions, shaft diameter and length, input/output shaft orientation, duty cycle and load profile. For agitator applications, include the medium, viscosity, impeller, shaft length and sealing conditions. For lifting and industrial gearboxes, include load, travel, speed, synchronization and safety requirements. Photos from multiple angles help confirm the interface without ambiguity.

Don't have clear photos or drawings? No worries. Just tell us your application, power range, and ratio — we'll handle the rest.
