R, F, K and S Geared Motors | Structure and Application Differences

The main differences are gear arrangement, input/output shaft relationship and installation layout. R series suits coaxial or near-coaxial drives; F series suits parallel-shaft layouts; K series provides efficient right-angle bevel-helical transmission; and S series offers a compact right-angle helical-worm arrangement.

Equal motor power does not make the four series interchangeable. Output speed and torque, operating hours, start frequency, shock, radial and axial loads, mounting position and heat dissipation must also be checked. For replacement work, verify centre height, feet, flange and shaft dimensions.
