Industrial Gearbox Installation, Lubrication and First-Run Checklist

Before commissioning, verify the nameplate and rotation, foundation, fasteners, shaft alignment, oil level, lubricant, venting, connected loads and guards. Installation errors can create shaft loads, vibration, leakage and heat even when the gearbox itself is correctly selected.

Follow the equipment safety procedure for a short no-load or low-load check, recording rotation, noise, vibration, leakage and current before loading gradually. Stop if severe noise, rapid heating, major leakage or abnormal current appears. Lubricant type, quantity and maintenance interval must follow the model manual and order documents.
