K Series Helical-Bevel Gear Unit Mounting and Installation

The installation arrangement is a core part of a gearbox specification. For the R Series, verify the complete mounting configuration rather than relying on the base size alone.

Before installation

Alignment and assembly

Do not force a coupling, pulley, sprocket or driven shaft onto the gearbox output. Use appropriate assembly methods and control alignment. Misalignment can increase bearing loads, vibration, heat and seal wear.

For hollow-shaft or shrink-disc configurations, follow the specific shaft preparation and tightening procedure for that interface.

Mounting position

The lubrication quantity and internal oil distribution can change with mounting position. The installed orientation must therefore match the configuration used for lubrication selection. See the M1–M6 mounting-position guide.

Direct replacement checks

For a no-modification replacement, compare at least:

  1. Mounting type.
  2. Output shaft diameter or hollow bore.
  3. Shaft extension and key/interface details.
  4. Center height or output centerline reference.
  5. Longitudinal and transverse mounting-hole positions.
  6. Hole diameter/thread specification.
  7. Output flange OD, register and PCD where applicable.
  8. Critical envelope dimensions to avoid interference.
  9. Motor interface if the existing motor will be reused.

The current CHINFAR website data can be used for configuration screening; final dimension-by-dimension replacement confirmation should be performed against the actual target drawing.

After installation

Check fastener tightness, rotation direction, oil level/quantity, abnormal noise, vibration, leakage and operating temperature during commissioning.
