Cycloidal Reducer Troubleshooting Guide
Updated: 2026-09-15
Check installation, duty and lubrication before attributing a symptom to an internal component.
Abnormal noise or vibration
Check foundation, mounting bolts, coupling alignment, driven load, shaft loads, input speed, rotation direction and lubrication condition.
Overheating
Check actual load, starts, alignment, environment and lubrication.
Leakage
Check seals, joints, venting and lubricant condition.
Output-speed mismatch
Verify input speed, frequency/VFD setting, ordered ratio and configuration.
The current technical set does not define one universal backlash or noise-dB acceptance value for the whole cycloidal family.
